Kodagu sevaks fight climate change, plant saplings and encourage young green warriors to save nature

Trees are one of the most powerful forces to combat climate change. Kodagu is a town that has undiluted landscapes of green goodness dotted with trees and forests. But with the rising tourist population and irresponsible littering of waste, the vibrant greenery here is under threat. Sri Paramjyothi Seva Samiti, Kodagu sponsored by Sri Amma Bhagavan Earth Foundation is on a mission to protect this and save the town from climate change.

Working hard on this campaign, eight sevaks planted 55 saplings of various species at Government Primary School in Nangala village. Besides fulfilling their civic responsibilities, they also educated the children about protecting the environment. They distributed sweets and taught the kids to pray and meditate. The staff and children were quite happy to hear about the Samiti's concern for their town. Expressing their gratitude, they invited the Samiti to come back for more such programmes.

The sevaks were overjoyed with the overall experience and thanked Sri Amma Bhagavan for making them green ambassadors.
